Activity1: establish
positive learning atmosphere in class-
children talk about their first day at school after summer vacation, their impressions and expectations(3min) |
Activity2:
children in groups of 4 brainstorm all possible words and collocations
connected with school subjects on paper sheets.Then they look at the poster,
compare and read subject words,with the help of flashcards they name all
major subjects in tern(7min)

Activity 3: Individuals
are asked to come forward and read the clocks beside the pictures to practise
half past…, quarter to/past and… o’clock. Class repeats(4min)

Activity4: children look
at the pictures and answer the following questions:
who is in this story?,where are they? What are they doing?and etc.(2min) |

Activity5: they listen
to CD and follow in their books(7min)

Activity6:I read one
paragraph at a time and help the class to find new words by reading the
definition and the example sentense(10min)

Activity7:I ask
summative questions about each paragraph(both general and special ones with
was/were structures) when all the text has been read and questions answered,
reading practice is given around the class(individuals, groups or the
